Triple Jump tempts pension funds
Triple Jump calls for smaller pension funds to invest in microfinance.
In an article in the authoritative Investment & Pensions Nederland (IPN), Triple Jump-director Mark van Doesburgh tries to get interest from Dutch pension funds for microfinance. Van Doesburgh notes that smaller pension funds are rather hesitant to invest in microfinance. Pension funds have cold feet. This fear is unfounded, says Van Doesburgh. He lists a series of arguments why investing in Microfinance Institutions can be lucrative, socially as well as financially. And he gets backing from several pension funds. The Dutch pension fund for pastors for instance, says that it is attractive for smaller pension funds to invest in microfinance. Read the article of Van Doesburgh here.
