Cooperation with Redcamif

OCTOBER 2011 - Triple Jump Advisory Services and Redcamif - the Central American network of microfinance institutions (MFIs) - have signed a Cooperation Agreement during the Foromic Conference in October 2011 in Costa Rica.

In Q3 2011 Triple Jump Advisory Services finalized an integrated risk management pilot project in Guatemala that aimed to develop and test a new approach for integrating risk management into an organization, specifically designed for smaller MFIs.

Three MFIs (Fafidess, ASDIR and FIACG) received these support services and trainings to set up Risk Management Committees, conduct risk assessments, develop risk management policies and manuals and implement specific risk management instruments. The pilot was co-financed by FMO, the entrepreneurial development bank of the Netherlands.

Redcamif,  a regional organization based in Nicaragua, wanted to address a growing demand by MFIs in the region to better address Risk Management.  Hearing about the success of Triple Jump Advisory Services Risk management pilot, they wanted to benefit from these learnings & tools and roll out a wide-reaching Train-the-Trainer program to support 20 MFIs in the coming year. Redcamif and Triple Jump Advisory Services will work closely together during the execution of the training program and the tools designed by Triple Jump Advisory Services will be leveraged for this new project.
