Expectations

As Head of Portfolio Management you will be responsible for top-down portfolio construction, and liquidity and currency management for the funds under Triple Jump’s management and advisory. Your department will be responsible for the relationship with investors/fund sponsors regarding strategic allocation policies, analysis of portfolio exposures and fund performance. You will work closely with our Credit Risk Department and our Investment Team regarding monitoring of the portfolio’s, the country and sector allocations. You will report to the managing director and will have one direct report yourself. The position requires limited travel to countries where Triple Jump is active. The position is based in Amsterdam. Candidates must possess a valid working permit for the European Union.

 

Job Requirements

  • > 7 years of relevant work experience in a portfolio management role with an asset and/or fund manager, preferably in fixed income or alternative investments.
  • Proven country/macroeconomic analysis skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills and a detail orientation
  • Experience with institutional client relationship management.
  • 2-3 years of managerial experience or the desire to grow into a managerial role
  • Capable of independent decision-making
  • Relevant experience working with financial intermediaries, preferably in emerging markets.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial mind set
  • Superior written and verbal communication
  • Fluency in English
  • Additional preferred characteristics:
  • Knowledge Spanish or Russian
  • Previous working experience in frontier financial markets
  • CFA certification is highly preferred

De vacature

Ter ondersteuning van de financiële projectadministratie, zijn wij op zoek naar een support financieel administratief medewerker. Deze persoon gaat zich bezig houden met alle ondersteunende werkzaamheden op administratief gebied. Denk aan:

  • Controleren van interne declaraties medewerkers
  • Doorbelasting van externe facturen naar de verschillende fondsen onder beheer
  • Uitvoeren ouderdomsanalyse debiteuren/crediteuren + opvolging
  • Controleren binnengekomen facturen en intern distribueren
  • Archiveren en filen;
  • File check op nieuwe files; afsluiten files van terugbetaalde leningen (closing files)
  • Ondersteunen bij rapportages;
  • Afhandelen Ad hoc aanvragen en werkzaamheden;
  • Back up voor diverse taken in het project administratie systeem “fenix”.

Functie-eisen

  • een opleiding op minimaal HBO niveau
  • uitstekende kennis van de Engelse taal
  • kennis van MS Word en Excel

Executive Assistant / Office Manager

24 hours per week (shared job), initially for 1 year, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Expectations

The Executive Assistant / Office Manager is expected to provide comprehensive secretarial support to include, but not be limited to:

  • support the Management Board in daily activities;
  • preparing and scheduling meetings of the Management Board;
  • diary management of Management Board;
  • travel and accommodation arrangements of Management Board;
  • coordinate information and overviews for presentations and reports;
  • managing reporting deadlines;
  • managing information, screening, referrals and handle phone calls and incoming correspondence, taking own initiative adding required information for processing;
  • coordinate the investment committee (IC) process, which includes IC meeting planning, distribution of IC documents, minutes taking and project related administrative tasks;
  • taking minutes of management team and board of directors meetings;
  • receptionist administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls and receiving visitors;
  • office management activities such as ordering office supplies, keeping the office tidy;

 

Job requirements

  • HBO graduate;
  • Minimum 3 years experience preferably in international business and professional environment;
  • Fluent in English and Dutch (written and spoken);

Investment Manager – Seed Capital

 

40 hrs per week, based in Amsterdam with occasional travel

Triple Jump manages and administers investment funds that focus on improving access to finance for entrepreneurs in developing countries.

Through Triple Jump Advisory Services (TJAS) we provide seed capital, technical assistance and advisory services to portfolio companies and their customers globally. We serve MFIs as well as Intermediary SME Funds who serve the so-called Missing Middle in developing countries.

TJAS is among others responsible for the implementation of the Seed Capital & Business Development (SCBD) programme of the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF). The SCBD programme consists of 4 support business lines:

  1. Early stage SME finance initiatives: investing seed capital and provide other forms of support to nurture the next generation of innovative SME finance initiatives.
  2. Support to DGGF investees: providing support to DGGF investees to enable these to serve underserved SME markets.
  3. Knowledge development/sharing: developing and sharing value adding, practice based expertise to shorten learning curves.
  4. Incubation/ecosystem support: specifically, in migration related countries provide support to incubation/acceleration services.

 

Expectations

As Seed Capital Investment Manager you will support the TJAS team with the first two business lines, developing an innovative seed capital investment portfolio and providing TA/BDS support to DGGF investees.

More specifically you will be responsible for:

Early stage SME finance initiatives

  • Identifying, screening of new investment proposals.
  • Preparing decision making for new investment proposals
  • Support deal structuring
  • Monitoring investment portfolio.

Support to DGGF investees

  • Identify TA/BDS requirements, develop project proposals
  • Prepare decision making for TA/BDS support

You will report to the Head of Advisory Services. The position is for 2 years and based in Amsterdam.

 Job Requirements

  • > 5 years of relevant working experience in the field of Seed Capital/Angel/VC investing, preferably in developing countries
  • Experience in consulting/advising and project management.
  • Good knowledge of SME finance challenges, affinity with Fintech companies and GP/LP structures.
  • Creativity is an asset – no single deal is the same.
  • Smart (analytical) and result driven
  • Good communication skills – keen to share achievements; strong customer orientation, good writing skills
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of French and Spanish preferred

(Senior) Advisor - Triple Jump Advisory Services

40 hrs per week, based in Latin America (Lima/Mexico) with regular travel

Triple Jump manages and administers investment funds that focus on improving access to finance for entrepreneurs in developing countries.

Through Triple Jump Advisory Services (TJAS) we provide seed capital, technical assistance and advisory services to portfolio companies and their customers globally. We serve a wide variety of Financial Intermediaries – from MFIs to PE Funds – who serve MSME in developing countries.

TJAS has supported more than 100 financial service providers with consulting and technical support in the field of product/channel development, governance/Risk Management/MIS implementation, social impact monitoring/measurement.

TJAS is currently working on a number of innovative and value-adding projects that make sense from both the business and social perspective:

  • Lean data management for MFI
  • Data-led small holder finance
  • Linking VSLA[1] to Financial Services Providers
  • Outcome Measurement using existing data.

Expectations

As Interim Advisor you will support the TJAS team in the development and implementation of technical assistance (TA) projects for Financial Services Providers in Latin America.

More specifically you will be responsible for:

  • Acquisition of new clients, development technical assistance projects, subcontracting consultants, quality control and reporting.
  • Building the practice areas in the field of “Lean Data Management for MFI” and “Outcome measurement through existing data”.
  • Supporting to fund-raising efforts to enable scaling of the practice areas.

You will report to the Head of Advisory Services. The position will start as consulting assignment, but may be converted into a permanent position.

Job Requirements

  • > 5 years of relevant working experience in the field of consulting and TA in the inclusive finance sector in developing countries
  • > 2 years of experience in managing multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Strong expertise on Lean/Big Data, Outcome Measurement.
  • Preferably existing network of qualified consultants, financial service providers in LAC.
  • Network for and track record on fund raising
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
