Expectations

As an Investment Officer you are responsible for the identification, negotiation, appraisal, processing and supervision of debt investments in MFIs in the Latin America region. Furthermore, you will be involved in the organisation of the lending policy (i.e. working out procedures, instrumentation, information systems). You have an extensive regional network of partners and other people/institutions relevant to the fulfilment of your position. The position requires frequent travel to countries within the region. You will be based in Lima, Peru or Mexico City, Mexico. The position is initially for 1 year.

 

Job requirements

This position requires a strong economic background, acquired by working (at least five years) in a MFI or a rating agency or a development/commercial bank. You have experience with analysing financial statements and dealing with legal and organisational issues as part of the due diligence process. You have demonstrated interest and experience in development and/or emerging markets.  You have demonstrable communication and reporting skills and are able to disseminate knowledge and mediate between different views. Your negotiation skills are excellent and, above all, you are capable of representing the funds we manage. You feel comfortable working in a team while independently developing new and managing existing markets. You have a profound knowledge of Spanish and English (both speaking and writing).

Fund Accountant

Full time, initially for 1 year, based in Amsterdam

Expectations

As a Fund Accountant, you are responsible for:

  • carrying out periodic valuation on fund assets for the purpose of investment funds;
  • supervising the issue and procurement (liquidity management);
  • preparing fund financials and other quarterly reporting packages for funds and mandate under management;
  • setting up, maintain and improve the fund and investment accounting (ledger);
  • ensuring that the administered funds comply with relevant laws and regulations (including taxation laws) when it comes to the administrative record and financial reporting;
  • carrying out financial checks on the investment legal contracts;
  • further developing the hedge accounting regulations;
  • contributing to the optimization of processes, data capture and reporting packages;
  • liaising with (inter)national colleagues and clients.
  • working closely together with the Senior Fund Accountant, dividing daily tasks
  • striving for high quality and produce excellent reporting, assure business continuity

 

Job Requirements 

  • education at least college (HBO) with a degree of accounting and/or finance;
  • experience with fund accounting for funds;
  • experience in managing complex financial records;
  • proven experience with accounts receivables;
  • knowledge of financial instruments of fixed income, private equity type investments, foreign currency derivatives and private equity fund structure;
  • excellent knowledge of MS Word and Excel;
  • excellent knowledge of Dutch and English, (basic) knowledge of Spanish or French is an advantage;
  • international treasury experience is a plus;

Senior Legal Counsel

32-40 hours per week, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Expectations

As Senior Legal Counsel you will be responsible for the legal investment and divestment processes relating to the investments Triple Jump makes for the funds and mandates it manages. This entails the preparation, review and negotiation of various private equity funds, equity and debt transaction documentation as well as the legal administration of our in-house funds.

 

We expect you to be aware of developments in the legal and regulatory environment. You will closely cooperate with our commercial teams and other support functions.

The position requires limited travel to countries where Triple Jump is active. The position is based in Amsterdam. Candidates must possess a valid working permit for the European Union.

 

Job Requirements

  • A law degree, preferably in Dutch, Spanish or UK law
  • Experience of reviewing, negotiating and managing investment transactions in funds (private equity), equity and debt transactions;
  • Detailed knowledge of contract law and financial law, preferably through working at an international law firm or financial institution;
  • Experience in dealing with problem loans/ restructurings;
  • Experience of managing external counsel;
  • Capable of independent decision-making;

Job description

You will join the Business Development/ Investor Relations team. In this position you will define a marketing approach, identify new investors and implement the sales plan. You will also take part in account management and projects related to Triple Jumps’ investment products and product development.

 

The successful candidate will be involved in:

  • Identifying and targeting key investors, including Development Financial Institutions, foundations, banks, pension funds, and other institutional investors globally;
  • Preparing and updating fundraising material, including investor presentations and due diligence questionnaires;
  • Responding to requests for information and requests for proposals from existing and potential investors;
  • Participating at conferences, investor events, seminars, etc.

 

Job Requirements

  • Academic background;
  • Self-starter with an ability to work independently;
  • Can do mentality, service oriented, able to perform under pressure, team player;
  • Strong sales orientation;
  • Expertise in creating and editing client presentations, including use of PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in English both orally and in writing.

 

Desirables

  • Experience with impact investors such as Development Financial Institutions, government agencies and (family)foundations;
  • 3-5 year relevant work experience within investment management.
